TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
